About Us
Bartola: who we are
We bring 30 years of electronic design—from analogue hi-fi to digital architecture—into the modular grid. Since 2019, that experience has been channelled into Eurorack, developing oscillators, filters, and voltage-controlled engines that combine valve (tube) technology with modern synthesis techniques.
Bartola takes its name from classic Argentine slang for being completely carefree and going with the flow. Rooted in an old Spanish term for resting after a harvest, it embodies our core philosophy: unconstrained sonic experimentation.
Every Bartola module is built on that foundation: decades of engineering discipline applied to deliberate timbre shaping. We aren’t interested in repeating what is already on the market. Rather than iterating on standard single-function tools, Bartola designs offer multiple operating modes and versatile signal paths to give musicians a broad palette of sonic possibilities. Even with our simplest modules, we give it a deliberate twist—transforming a basic function into a tool that keeps your patches evolving and sparks unexpected musical ideas.
Over the past seven years working at the intersection of valve design and Eurorack synthesis, we have refined exactly how tube behaviour translates into voltage-controlled, patchable sound. Our modules have been through rigorous iterations, informed by real-world feedback from musicians in both live and studio contexts. That experience is directly reflected in their controls, gain architecture, and the careful balance struck between technical depth and immediate playability.
